SubEnvoy v1.3.1 — A Smoother Finish for Cloud Translations

SubEnvoy v1.3.1 for iOS and macOS focuses on reliable cloud translation exports, preventing app hangs and duplicate saves while improving localized count displays.

Also available in: 中文

SubEnvoy v1.3.1 is a focused maintenance release for iOS and macOS. It does not introduce a new workflow; it makes the last step — turning cloud translation results into a subtitle file — more dependable.

A more reliable export for trial tasks

When a trial cloud translation has only processed part of a subtitle file, the export flow needs to use the result that the server actually completed. In an edge case, the previous flow could keep the interface busy or try to align a larger timeline than the available translation covered, which could lead to an App Hang.

In v1.3.1, exports are limited to the number of subtitles actually processed by the server. Subtitle reading, alignment, SRT generation, and file writing also happen away from the main thread. The result is a more reliable export and a responsive interface while the file is being prepared.

Save once, even if you tap again

Saving a completed cloud translation is now protected against repeated requests on both iOS and macOS. If another save request arrives while an export is already in progress, it is ignored instead of starting a duplicate operation.

That means fewer accidental duplicate files and a clearer finish to the translation workflow.

Counts that read naturally in every language

We also completed the localized plural forms used for subtitle and credit counts. Numbers now follow the conventions of each supported language more naturally, whether the app is showing one item or many.

A small update with a meaningful effect

SubEnvoy v1.3.1 is a small release, but it focuses on an important part of the experience: getting a finished translation out of the app safely and without friction.
